This will make it much easier to uphold to a strict timetable and structure when writing and hopefully will ensure that my context of practice module, including dissertation and practical are scheduled accurately and the timing is perfected as much as possible to eliminate as much essence of fasting behind as possible.
The word limit boundaries set to us for this exploration are to be within the 6,000 to 9,000 word range and so ideally the aim for my exploration is to aim for the upper 9,000 word boundary as this will allow me to talk about the topic in as much detail as necessary. Within the written exploration it is necessary to include an introduction and conclusion and this sections are compulsory and both should entail around 10% of the investigation each, making them around 900/1000 words each optimally. This leave around 7000 words for the main body of the exploration.
Due to the nature of the exploration being investigative of the fashion industry and design semiotics and then finally the comparison of these, the exploration will be comprised of three major sections. The first of these sections acting as research into the strictly design aesthetics implemented within fashion magazines. The second of these acting as a body of research that aims to identify the nature of the fashion editorial industry as a whole with the final section of the dissertation acting as the place where the first two section synthesise to answer the research question. The graphic design aesthetics and fashion industry knowledge will be contrasted within a section of visual analysis to determine how aesthetics are use and more importantly why these are used.
The exploration will roughly follow the order and dispersement of words within the exploration as below;
Design Aesthetic 1500
Fashion industry 2500
Visual Analysis 3000
Conclusion 900/1000
